K53 Wise is an independent study tool for South African learner's licence candidates. The responsible party for personal information processed through this app is K53 Wise. For data requests or queries, contact us at hello@k53wise.co.za.
All learner progress (quiz history, scores, flags, study streaks, XP) is stored locally on your device. No personal information is required to use the app, and no account is required to study.
If you create an account, we collect your email address to identify you and your password (hashed — never stored in plain text). We use this to sync your progress across your devices. The lawful basis for processing is the performance of the service you requested.
Analytics — with your consent, we collect anonymous usage events via PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve it. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events. You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings banner.
We do not sell your data or share it with any other parties.
Account data (email, synced progress) is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently and immediately deleted — there is no grace period or soft-delete.
Anonymous analytics data is retained according to PostHog's retention policy and is not linked to your account.
